YCSD Nominee for the Presidential Scholars Program

BHS Senior, Maddie Hubbard, has been selected as the YCSD nominee for the Presidential Scholars Program. This prestigious program was established to recognize and honor some of our nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Students may become U.S. Presidential Scholars through one of three paths of accomplishment: broad academic achievement, academic and artistic scholarship, or demonstrated ability and achievement in career and technical education fields. All candidates must complete and submit a comprehensive application for review. Approximately 600 students are named semifinalists each year, after which the Commission on Presidential Scholars reviews the applications and selects up to 161 U.S. Presidential Scholars annually.
